If you wrote down a lot the primary elements from this book on notecards, shuffled them up, then showed them to me, I'd be eager to get my little paws on it. But the end result is... underwhelming. It follows a fairly predictable path, and there's no dramatic tension or emotional connection to the characters. I actually put this book down in the middle of the big dramatic ending, and didn't pick it up again for about 2 days, with zero separation anxiety. I doubt I'll remember much about this book in a month, so I can't see myself waiting for each new installment in the series. Maybe when the whole thing is out, I'll read it all from the beginning and feel differently.
